Salem's Vengeance
Vengeance Trilogy: Book 1
Sixteen-year-old Sarah Kelly never expected to meet the Devil’s daughter. She only sought innocent dancing in the moonlight, not a coven entranced by their dark priestess.
When her friends partake of a powder meant to conjure spirits - and the results go horribly awry - Sarah is forced to make a choice. To keep their secret risks her own damnation, but to condemn them may invoke the accusing remnants of Salem to rise again.

This is a well written historical novel (the first of three) and I was not only impressed with it's 17th century language throughout, but also the feeling of the story's authenticity--I actually felt as if I were there. Galvin did his research, that's for sure.

I highly recommend this novel. If you enjoy YA fiction, or historical fiction, or straight-up horror, you’re going to like this. Danger, mysterious strangers, a touch of romance, thrilling action and gruesome supernatural-inspired horror all combine to make a fantastic read.
- The Bookie Monster Galvin weaves his research and real people into a story that completely immerses the readers into a believable - yet unbelievable - chain of events that change one town forever. -Hall Ways This is a most intriguing and evocative story. The hazy division between the truly supernatural and just plain human evil and corruption is well employed to create a deep feeling of dread and foreboding...Well worth a read, especially if you like intelligent horror stories. -Trawling the Amazon Perfectly detailed and with new elements brought in to make you rethink what you knew...As the book goes on and you're sucked into this world, you won't stop until you have read the last page. -Lovely Reads Another fantastic and amazing start of a trilogy for Aaron Galvin that will have you salivating and wanting more of the tale that is unfolding. -Books Are Love |

-Girl Who Reads Salem's Vengeance, by Aaron Galvin, puts a new twist in the age old witch story...I loved Salem's Vengeance, which is ironic when you consider that I usually run from historical fiction like it's a plague. The more I read, the more I had to continue. -Book Attic |
