Sooo a good friend of mine (and former costar, yeah House of Purgatory!), challenged me awhile back to list 15 movies that have stuck with me. Not necessarily a favorites list, but films that hold special meaning to me. I loved the idea so here they are, folks, in no particular order:
1. BRAVEHEART I'd have a hard time choosing between Braveheart and the next film for my all-time favorite. Showing my age here, but I still remember going to the Thorntown Library to rent it on VHS, (two tapes!). It has everything - gritty battle scenes, love, and even comedy. If I could make one film, this is what I would aspire to. 2. GLADIATOR I struggle to recall a scene in any other movie that lives up to this. Still gives me shivers and that amped up feeling of 'Oh, this dude is gonna die.' Russell Crowe is all that is man.

Heyo. Not sure if you've heard, but there's this new book called Salem's Vengeance and the reviews have rocked. Oh, and I received this one today! Some amazingly cool reviewers and bloggers have been kind enough to help me reach a broader audience by posting this week, (check out this interview), so I thought it an excellent time for an ebook giveaway. :) Requirements for entry listed below. Good luck! Remember in grade school when you would go to a rival school and just hate on the opposing team and their fans? Then, the following year, you'd move on to the middle grades or high school, where everyone was combined. Suddenly, that rival sat next to you in class, or was your teammate, and bam...new best friend.
That's what fantasy football is to me. For the record, I bleed Indianapolis Colts blue and white. However, like the schools combining, fantasy football made me reconsider players I previously hated. Case in point? Tom Brady. As any real Colts fan will tell you, we loathe the New England Patriots. Their rivalry was one for the ages, man. It was easy to bandwagon the hate against Brady. Pretty boy looks, supermodel wife, the list goes on and on. A few years ago now, a buddy asked me to play in his fantasy football league. I didn't know then I would be signing up for an addiction. I also had no clue that during the draft, Tom Brady would fall to me as my starting quarterback. (Mom, that's the guy who throws the ball.) Cut to Aaron weeks later rooting for Brady to throw another touchdown. Little did I know then my respect for Tom Brady was only just beginning. |
