Holy cow. Today is off to a fantastic start and it's only 10 a.m. Love it! First, a big congrats to last week's ARC winner...ANDY ARRENDALE! :) Also, I woke up to an email this morning about another glowing review of Salted. Check it out here. And finally, we have another ARC giveaway this week! Yeah! I changed this week's giveaway options to even the playing field for non-Twitter folk. But first, I want to explain some things about Rafflecopter, the program I'm using for the giveaway that randomly selects winners. The only reason you have to input your email into the system is so that if you win, I can contact you straightaway. Your email will not be used for anything else. Rafflecopter doesn't share it. I don't share it. None of us will send you spammy spam spam. The only time you'll get an email is if you win. :) Okay. So this week's new option is to sign in through Rafflecopter, click on the leave a blog comment option, and then tell me what your favorite marine animal is and why. That's it. I like seals because I used to watch Andre. Boom. You get +4 entries. My favorite is sea otters because they're cute and cuddly looking. Cuddly? Hmm. I'm not too sure about...oh, fine...here. Have +4 entries. I heart lovey-dovey mermaids with glittering, sparkly fishtails and- Get out. First, that's not what mermaids what look like. Second, most of them aren't lovey-dovey. The tagline of Salted is Life isn't better under the sea. It's not Life is sooooo amazing and candy corn and rainbows and hugs all around! No. No it is not. If you want an early shot at finding out what real mermaids and mermen look like, sign up for the giveaway below to win a free copy of SALTED. We're getting close to release day people. Only 15 more days...

That's awesome your family sponsored/adopted them, Brin! I still remember going down to Florida with my Papaw and seeing them beside our boat! :)

Dolphins and whales and I only say both because my first dream job was to be a marine biologist and then I'd realize I'd have to move and leave my family! But the reason I love them is because they are so free and awesome!!

I wish that I could've been a marine biologist too. Can you imagine spending all that time amongst marine animals? I would LOVE it!

The orca is my favorite sea creature. They are highly social creatures with a strong family bond. Such beautiful creatures. Plus, who doesn't love Free Willy?!

Ashleigh, I swear that I still have the "carved ivory" necklace that came with the Free Willy VHS back in the day. Anyone else remember those, or am I only the nerd who loved that thing?

My favorite marine animal is a mermaid. Not only is there a popular Disney movie based on them nobody truly knows if they exist which puts mermaids up with the coolness and mystery of Nessy.

SEA TURTLES! Are they not soooo fantastic in Finding Nemo?? Just kidding... The way they lay eggs and hatch is fascinating to me!

haha, love Crush from Finding Nemo! I remember my parents waking us up early one morning in Florida. We went down the beach a little ways and the sea turtles were covering up their eggs. Fantastic to see!

Definitely the orca!!! They are huge and gentle....except for those instances in captivity. I think it's neat that they stay with their family, too!

Staci, if you love Seahorses, you should visit Monterrey Bay Aquarium. They have an entire exhibit dedicated to seahorses. I couldn't believe how many shapes, sizes, and colors that seahorses came in! Another reason to visit is the aquarium--it's remodeled from what used to be an old canning factory! One of the coolest aquariums I've ever visited!

I've always liked seals because they are so smooth-looking, and they were always doing funny things when we saw them at the zoo :)

I think you'll like Salted then, Kristin. My first memories of seals and sea lions came from the Indianapolis Zoo. They absolutely looked smooth as they swam past the big viewing window.

I highly recommend the experience, Donnell. My wife and I swam with dolphins as one of our honeymoon excursions. I've never forgotten it and hope to do it again some day. :)

Sea turtles. Something cool about their slow moving ways and their instincts as hatchlings are amazing. I could watch them all day!
