I should probably parcel these goodies out since I often have trouble finding topics to blog about, but I'm too excited. The print proof of Taken With A Grain of Salt arrived today! As promised, here's your video reveal. The cover is intentionally darker since the Killer Whale is at a lower depth than the Sea Lion in Salted, but Greg and I plan to lighten it up a little bit since it ran a bit darker than we wanted, (a trend we've noticed with Createspace specs). We'll adjust it for the final batch so it looks nice and pretty on your shelves next to Salted. Also, I realized after ending the video that me showing the appendix was a bit of a tease. But since Valerie Bellamy did such an amazing job with the appendix design, and because I'm stoked for its inclusion, here's a better shot for you. Pretty sweet, yeah? We also have pages for Drybacks, Nomads, Orcs, and Merrows!
I mentioned this in the video, but I'm coming home to Indiana for a book tour December 3rd - December 9th. Tour stops and dates are still being finalized, but I have both Lebanon Public Library (Thursday 12/4) and Thorntown Public Library (Tuesday 12/9) already locked on the schedule. Mark those dates on your calendars, folks and I'll see you there! I'll have copies of Taken, as well as Salem's Vengeance and Salted books in case you missed out on the last tour. Also happy to sign any of my books you bought online and want to bring in. Finally, my buddies and I have done it again. We had such a blast making last year's commercial for the Doritos Crash The Super Bowl competition that we decided to give it another whirl. Here's this year's submission if you want to take a look. The competition website said semi-finalists will be announced next Monday. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
