Well, friends, we had a good run, but it looks like this isn't our year to win the Academy's Nicholl screenwriting competition. My screenplay adaptation of my book, The Grave of Lainey Grace, has officially been eliminated from the competition. On a brighter(?) note, the screenplay did place in the Top 50 out of 7000+ submissions. So there's that. ;) Big thanks to everyone who emailed, texted, and sent me all the good vibes. All are much appreciated. Also, best of luck to those writers who moved on into the Top 10 and are still competing! And now...back to writing so we can hopefully get 'em next year!
