'You're actually really cool' - Sept. Tour - pt. 1

  Holy schnikes you guys and gals. What a trip this has been already - and it's only just beginning!
  I've visited three schools already and the students and staff have been amazing. Also, who doesn't love it when a horde of students say to you: 'Dude, you look and act just like Tony Stark."  #bestcomplimentever
   I also love the questions they ask and the energy they have. Speaking of energy - how about the awesome young man in this picture to the right?
  I was signing his books after the presentation and this is how our conversation went down:
  "Dude, can I jump on your back and take a picture?"
   Me: "Absolutely you can."
  Love this little guy...probably because I would've (and have) done the same thing when I was his age.

  I'm readying to begin Day 4 of 14 in my Indiana tour, and mean to provide better updates this time around, unlike the previous tours. 
  Today, I'm stoked to visit a school in Westfield for the third time and participate in my first Socratic seminar. I sent them the first chapter of The Grave of Lainey Grace before its publication so they could preview it. I literally cannot wait to participate in this discussion with them and hear what points they bring up.

  Okay, so gotta keep this one short since I need to head out soon. But first, the reason for the title of this post. 
  After finishing a presentation the other day, one of the students came up to me and said: "Dude, when you first started, I thought you were going to be really boring. But you're actually really cool."
  Fist-bump.
  Big thanks to all those who took the pictures throughout this post and my thanks for sending them on. Also, the below three pictures were taken in the Decatur Middle School library - how awesome is it they've divided the library up with the genres titled on the wall? Love it.
